Ikigai
“That which brings benefit to life.”
Thai Massage
A fully-clothed massage, performed on a mat, combining elements of yoga-like stretching, acupressure, and energy healing - like a wave of one-thousand palms. This slow, flowing, rhythmic massage is both relaxing & inspiring. Perfect for increasing range of motion & athletic performance.
Table Thai is available, upon request.
Therapeutic Bodywork
A table-based, symptom-focused massage, combining all available techniques, to minimize your symptoms & provide lasting relief.
90 min service is recommended.
Multiple sessions may be necessary to work with chronic conditions. Massage is not a replacement for advanced medical care.
Sports Massage
“Sports Massage” is not a modality. It is a framework, structured around an athletes training & competition schedule, to best support their performance goals. Sports massage may appear as any modality — In-Season vs Out-of-Season.
Sports Massage improves athletic performance, reduces the risk of injury, & accelerates recovery, making it an essential component of any athlete's training regimen.
Swedish / Deep Tissue
An oil-based service integrating long, gliding strokes to encourage circulation, decrease muscle stress, & relax the nervous system. More pressure or “deeper” work does not inherently mean “better” or “more effective.” We aim to work at a comfortable, tolerable “depth,” to stimulate parasympathetic, relaxing experiences.
For specific work, 90 min service is recommended.
Thai Fusion (2 hour)
Combine one hour of table or mat Thai Massage, with one hour of Swedish/Deep Tissue. An experience blending flowing rhythm & movements, with deep breathing, relaxing, gliding strokes.
Mobile Massage
Choose from any of our available modalities, to receive in the comfort of your own home.
Mobile services are subject to travel fees, based on distance from business location.

Benefits
-
Many clients come to seek relief from chronic stress, limited joint mobility, headaches, muscle spasms, and dull, achy pains. Leaving, clients may have reduced symptoms and the skills to breathe effectively, stretch efficiently, safely perform a variety of self-care techniques.
Although there is no replacing the knowledge and skill of a seasoned professional, their techniques aren’t magic. Learning basic massage principles & self-care techniques may give you the confidence to help yourself feel better, longer.
-
Recovery is equally as important as training to an athlete. Stay on top of injury-prevention, with stretching & massage services to manage stress, reduce soreness, improve range of motion, & enhance proprioception.
Massage services for an athlete, “Sports Massage” is not a specific technique, it is a framework of how to approach one who is competing. An athlete that is in-season will have different needs than one who is out-of-season. Make sure to talk to your therapist about your training regimen & competition schedule, to get the most out of our services.

As we work together, you may find that you become more capable of recognizing stress in your body and the chronic positions that exacerbate it. Are you leaning over your computer, with your toes tucked under your chair, and tension in your neck, between the shoulders? Looking at your phone, do you always hold it in the same hand, looking down and slightly to the side? When you notice discomfort, actually take note of where you feel it. Now is the best time to take action to feel comfortable.
-
Stress manifests in the body a number of ways - mental, physical, spiritual. Learning to recognize the factors that effect how you are feeling is essential in managing daily stress. Through working with & understanding the physical stresses that affect you today, we teach & encourage you to effectively manage stress, to feel better tomorrow. How many times have you said “I hold stress here,” pointing between you shoulders, grasping the base of your neck. Many live with this cumulative stress, feeling anxious, and tense. You don’t have to.
-
Give yourself permission to rest, relax, to take a breath. It’s okay to slow down. Let your shoulders settle away from you ears. Smile. It is not the therapist’s job to “make you relax.” Rather, it is our job to assist & encourage your innate ability to relax.
Breathing in — I am aware of the tension in my body. Breathing out — I am comfortable and relaxed.

Massage & Bodywork Therapy, like any form of therapy (i.e. Physical Therapy or Chiropractic), is best received consistently & frequently.
Chronic Conditions / Acute Injury / Flare-ups
1X per week, until the symptoms lessen. As you feel better, come less frequently.
1 hour of massage vs full-time desk work, is not enough to provide lasting relief.
If this speaks to you, the best course of action, to manage your discomfort, will be raising awareness around your position & movement habits. We will do the bodywork. You must look at your habits, to see & feel lasting changes at home.
Maintenance
1X per 2 to 4 weeks.
How does massage fit into your wellness plan?
If massage is the only thing you do in your self-care routine, consider coming more frequently. If you are doing additional therapy (i.e. Physical Therapy, Chiropractics, Stretching, Foam Rolling), consider coming based on your needs.
-
Come in modest, loose-fitting, comfortable attire. Most sessions are performed fully-clothed.

Lower body stretching requires clothing (i.e. undergarments, shorts, pants)
Any area that is unclothed will be draped.
Traditional Thai Massage - loose-fitting, long pants are preferred (i.e. sweatpants, leggings)

We ask detailed questions about how your symptoms effect the quality of your life. Some people come to relieve physical symptoms and/or to improve athletic performance, others come for stress reduction and/or to improve their energy.
We empower our clients to reflect on daily habits & perform the activities, to improve the quality of their life. There are many things within your power to perform that can support your wellness.
Many sessions are fully-clothed, to comfortably stretch clients & easily change positions.
